A historic region which covers the area inland from the Adriatic coast between Rimini and Pesaro, the Montefeltro territory straddles the border between Romagna and The Marche, around the valleys of the Marecchia, the Conca and the Foglia. An itinerary of 135 km of medium difficulty, the route is strenuous as far as Urbino (45 km), with two climbs to face: the one from Morciano up to Tavoleto, and the one connecting Casinina to the town of Urbino.
You then follow a long, undulating stretch as far as Fossombrone (at 75 km), from where you descend to sea level around Fano. It is then just 35 km back to Riccione, cycling along the flat though Pesaro, Siligata and Gabicce Mare.
The itinerary is suitable for everyone, you don’t need any special gears, even the less fit can manage with a 39×23. Be careful not to overdo it in the first section (as far as Urbino), the long distance involved could play a nasty trick on you in the final stages.
We are located in Emilia Romagna, region bordered by Veneto and the beautiful cities of Venice and Padua to the North, and by Tuscany, Umbria and Marche to the South, offering charming cities such as Florence, Perugia, Assisi and Urbino.
We are characterised by a concentration of adrenaline, traditions and typical cuisine, captured in the most beautiful tours that touch sites on the Adriatic coast such as Cesenatico, the land of Pantani, and reach all the way to Ferrara and Ravenna, cities of art and history, passing through rugged ascents such as those of Cippo and Carpegna, or the Cimone in Modena.
