Route details

Gatteo Mare – proceed towards the mountains, at the “I 2 Ponti” farm hotel take the road for Sala

Sala – At the church, turn left towards Savignano, at the next two roundabouts go straight on.

Cross S. Angelo and Gatteo Terra, following the signs for Savignano.

Savignano – At the roundabout on the Via Emilia, go straight on towards Sogliano.

After 1 km, turn right towards Roncofreddo – Felloniche.

Continue on the Rubicone Valley bottom road

Ciocca bridge – After several ascents and descents and a hard climb, you will cross the road that descends from Roncofreddo, turn left towards Sogliano. After the bridge the Ciocca begins with steep bends for 3 km.

Sogliano – In the village at the top of the climb, turn left towards Savignano, here it is almost all downhill.

Borghi – Cross the village

Savignano – cross the Via Emilia and continue on to Gatteo Mare

Difficulty: a rather tough route that requires a lot of effort when climbing the Ciocca (a 3 km climb with an average gradient of 7%).
