Between fortified villages and the sea

Program

On the first day you will retrace the route taken by the condottiero and businessman Gianciotto Malatesta, when he pretended to leave from the village of Gradara for Pesaro only to return unexpectedly via secondary roads and surprise his wife Francesca and brother Paolo, whom he suspected. Cycling inside the walls of the village will be fascinating, and the famous “Panoramica” of Monte San Bartolo will be your secondary route. On the second day you will ride along the sea to Rimini to breathe in the air of the ancient Roman founders, being enchanted by works such as the imposing Arch of Augustus, the unfinished Cathedral derived from the Malatesta Temple, the incredibly well-preserved Tiberius Bridge, and others. Before returning, we will pass through the San Giuliano district, to breathe in the atmosphere of the birth, life and works of the great Maestro Federico Fellini. The third day will be devoted to the small fortified villages on the southern border of the Province of Rimini, antagonists to the Fortress of Gradara and in the sights of the two families eternally at war, the Malatesta and Montefeltro. Then Saludecio, with its evocative wall paintings, Mondaino, with its famous “formaggio di fossa” (pit cheese), Montegridolfo with its incomparable romantic atmosphere, and Tavullia, the village of multiple world motorcycling champion Valentino Rossi.
