|Emilia Romagna is increasingly perceived as “The Land of Cycling”. A region traditionally considered to be the cradle of holidays and hospitality, it has also focused strongly on cycling tourism in recent years. This is how Terrabici evolved.
The mission of this specialised hotel chain is to promote the land and localities in the region on an international level by means of new promotional and commercial strategies. Since 2015, Terrabici has taken part in cycling events and trade fairs on the Australian and Canadian markets, and follow-up educational tours, co-marketing ventures, workshops with specialised tour operators, and web marketing and social media marketing activities.
Emilia Romagna is the second region in Italy after Trentino Alto Adige for its number of cycle tourists.
The year 2013 saw 300 thousand cycle tourists visit Emilia Romagna, of which 85% were from other countries (mainly Germany, Benelux, Austria, UK, Switzerland, France, the United States, Scandinavia, Canada and Australia), out of a total 1.4 million.
|We decided on the name Terrabici because we want to talk about the age-old and hospitable region of Emilia Romagna, with its splendid cycling routes and quality hotels for cyclists. The locals are kind and down to earth and the territory is wonderfully varied, with something to suit all tastes and levels of cycling ability: roads in the hills and mountains and along the coast alternate with, and reward the cyclist with unique and fascinating countryside that has much to offer in terms of culture, history and cuisine. We stand out for our hospitality, best choice of services, specialisation and passion for cycling. In addition to the beauty of the area, there is the business acumen of our hoteliers and an excellent service based on at least a decade of experience. It is no coincidence that the very first bike hotels in Italy were set up in Emilia Romagna!|
